This cell has been designed to maximize its versatility. With the exclusion of the upper and lower plates, the cell is entirely made of AISI 316 stainless steel, and Pyrex. The mirrors in gilded BK7 are mechanically attached to holders allowing both an easy removal and an effortless realignment.
The beam input/output opening, and the spot spacing on the
mirrors are made in such a way as to allow operation without
diffractive effects, or interference fringes in a beam under
a 3 µm wavelength.
The gas flux is axial, through two holes in the middle of
the mirrors. The connectors are Swagelok® for10 mm tubes.
The Pyrex tube can be removed for measurements in the atmosphere.
