LDC1 laser diode controller

The laser diode controller LDC1 is mainly composed by three components: a card for laser diode (LD) powering, a card for stabilizing its temperature (TC), and a card for the acquisition and elaboration of photodiode (TT) signals. These cards use the PC104 format, a widespread standard in the industrial domain, and can be interfaced to a CPU via the PC104 bus, as per the ISA protocol.

The version represented in the picture (a 10 cm module) includes a battery for powering the system with a 12 V battery (Power Supply card), and a computer (PC104 format) directly interfaced to the cards. This system configuration equips all our sensors, and is, therefore, the ideal instrument to perform absorption measurements both in direct absorption or second derivate surveys, or double tone modulation surveys. Each and every controller’s functionality, and all the main operational parameters can be fully managed and monitored via software.
