about

SIT designs and produces all the electronics equipping its laser sensors. During the several years of our activity in gas surveying, we developed increasingly compact, versatile, and multi-functional cards for laser-diode systems control. These cards, which we present hereafter, can be individually commercialized, and can be used in other systems than our analyzers.

The laser diode controller LDC1 is mainly composed by three components: a card for laser diode (LD) powering, a card for stabilizing its temperature (TC), and a card for the acquisition and elaboration of photodiode (TT) signals. These cards use the PC104 format, a widespread standard in the industrial domain, and can be interfaced to a CPU via the PC104 bus, as per the ISA protocol.

Laser drive

Cathode-Ground laser-diodes powering card. The card can be interfaced to a computer via the PC104 bus (ISA protocol). The card’s base address can be selected on demand.

Temperature controller

Temperature stabilizer card, with Peltier cell for laser diodes, PID temperature controller, and NTC temperature sensor (10k). The card can be interfaced to a computer via the PC104 bus (ISA protocol). The card base address is selectable on customer’s demand.

Acquisition and decoding card for photodiode signals. The card base address is selectable on customer’s demand.

DC-DC converter card for the battery-powered LDC1 controller, and for its components cards.
