This analyzer has
been developed to find methane escapes in the atmosphere (concentration
interval of 1÷10.000 ppm) at a very early stage.
The instrument has been devised to be mounted on a vehicle.
The measures are obtained using the principle of infrared absorption in methane molecules. Confronted to systems using other laser sources, a laser diode source allows a very high selectivity, or, in other words, the absolute absence of any interference from atmospheric components such as other hydrocarbures. Furthermore, being equipped with a multipass cell, and with a sophisticated surveying and signal managing techniques, the system has superior sensitivity. In addition to these characteristics, and unlike other similar systems, our analyzer offers a superior reliability ad easiness of use. The analyzer, in fact, is entirely managed by an internal processor that also provides for theanalysis of the collected data, and to the results real-time transmission. The particular design of LF-01's optical components consents to operate in an environment with strong vibrations without the need for continuous realignment and recalibration. The instrument is totally automatic and does not require any particular type of operational skill during its normal operation.
The instrument is distributed by Huberg Sas , the Italian leader in Methane gas escape search.
Technical data

- Surveying technique: Second derivate survey
- CPU: Pentium2 266 MHz
- Output: 0÷10 V, 4÷20mA, RS-232.
- Data can be recorded both on hard and floppy disk
